all4GAMES Competition
In keeping with the essence of the incubation programme all4GAMES, Cnam-Enjmin, alongside Pôle Image Magelis and big names in the video game industry, launched a national competition in France with the same name in 2023. With a considerable €50,000 cash prize, its aim was to nurture creative and innovative video game or digital interactive experience projects created by independent or student studios, thereby pushing the boundaries of the sector.
After a few years of absence, we can announce that the all4GAMES competition will be coming back bigger and better than before – watch this space!
Criteria and Process
Applicant projects have to be in the prototype stage and the team behind the project has to include less than 50 people. As for the jury’s selection criteria, the two key points are the project’s originality and inclusivity, two core values for Cnam-Enjmin.
There are4 stages to the competition:
1. Call for projects: via clusters of video game studios and the all4GAMES dedicated website. Screening process of the applications over several months.
2. Preselection of projects: a jury made up of 5 professionals in the award field pre-select 3 projects per award.
3. Public & Pro Voting: Members of the public can vote once for 1 project among the 3 pre-selected projects per award. Members of the jury can vote again for 1 project per award (even if they were not part of the jury of that pre-selection).
4. Award Ceremony: Awards are given to the winning teams during Cnam-Enjmin’s signature spawn! event.
2023 Finalists and Winner
For its first edition, one prize was awarded: JEUNES TALENTS 2023 (“2023 Young Talents”), presented by Epic Games and supported by Ubisoft Bordeaux and Pôle Image Magelis. 3 finalists were pre-selected by the jury: Domus, Where Do Dead Malls Go? and Sea of Minds.
