Jilin Animation Institute
The master’s degree in video games and interactive media is offered in partnership with Jilin Animation Institute in China (JAI)
Jilin Animation Institute was founded in June 2000, which is located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, northeastern China. At present, JAI has 15 schools and 32 undergraduate majors, including School of Animation Art, School of Comic, and School of Game. Among them, animation major is a national characteristic major, five majors, including animation, digital media art and visual communication design, are the national first-class undergraduate major construction points. There are currently over 13000 undergraduate students enrolled.
JAI has been successively rated as “National Animation Teaching and Research Base”, “National Animation Industry Base”, “National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base”, “National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project Implementation Unit”. In 2018, JAI was awarded “Best Animation and Comics Education Institution” of China Culture and Art Government Award. In September 2022, JAI was approved as a National-Level School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Construction Unit. JAI ranked 44th in the world (excluding American universities) and 9th in Asia in the 2024 “Animation Career Review” International animation school rankings.
JAI adheres to the characteristic of “Integration of Education, Research and Industry” to create a professional system that fully integrates technology and art, and deeply integrates industry and education. As JAI’s practical teaching platform for education and industry, Jilin JAI Culture Arts Group Co. LTD. has completed four 3D animation series films Frog Kingdom in recent years, and has won many awards such as the National "Five One Project Award", China Cultural and Art Government Award. The work such as The Urban Legend of Computer is also in production.
JAI adheres to the characteristic of “Openness and International Orientation” and has established inter school cooperation relationships with 155 universities among 31 countries and regions around the world. Inviting over 600 industry experts from all over the world to serve as guest professors and conducting activities such as expert lectures and workshops each year. JAI is collaborating with Cnam-Enjmin to establish International Master’s Degree Program.
