Acfas is a non-profit organisation which helps to advance scientific domains in Quebec, the French-speaking regions of Canada and the international French-speaking world.
For nearly 100 years now, Acfas has been bring together researchers in the French-speaking world with the goal of spreading knowledge and helping societal development. The organisation looks heavily towards the future and leads the way for scientific communication and democratisation. It recognises researchers from all disciplines, as well as excellence in research.
The 92nd Acfas Congress is organised by the École de technologie supérieure in collaboration with Concordia University. It will be held from the 5th to 9th May 2025 at the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal, Quebec.
Cnam-Enjmin will be participating in this Congress with a conference delivered by Stéphanie Mader and Camille Moreau entitled "L’École nationale du jeu et des médias interactifs numériques (Cnam-Enjmin) : entre Angoulême et Paris" ("The French National School for Video Games and Digital Interactive Media (Cnam-Enjmin): between Angoulême and Paris")
Stéphanie Mader has been a lecturer at the Cnam Institute in Paris since 2017. She is head of the Post-Master’s degree in Designing of Immersive, Interactive and Playful Experiences (Cnam-Enjmin and GOBELINS Paris) and for the Game Design specialisation in the Master's degree in Video Games and Digital Interactive Media at Cnam-Enjmin, where she herself obtained her master's degree. She oversees the ILJ research team (Interactivité pour Lire et Jouer) at the computer science research laboratory CÉDRIC, and her research focuses on Game Design methods and tools used in different types of video games (entertaining, learning, therapeutic, etc.). http://cedric.cnam.fr/lab/author/mader/
Camille Moreau is a Game Designer specialised in the fields of User Experience (UX) and System Design in the video game industry. Since obtaining her Master's degree in Game Design at Cnam-Enjmin in 2017, she has worked at the blockbuster studio Ubisoft (Just Dance), as well as at independent studios Homo Ludens (Blooming Business: Casino) and Lightbulb Crew (Nova Hearts). Alongside Stéphanie, she has been the co-head of the Game Design specialisation in the Master's degree since 2020. This role is an essential part of her work, allowing her to continue questioning her practice as a Game Designer and to guide students in their learning as well as their transition into the industry.
