How to Apply to Master's degree in Video Games and Digital Interactive Media (JMIN)

If you have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent OR if you are a professional with more than 3 years in the video game industry, you are more than welcome to apply to our Master's degree programme.

Important Information about the Entrance Exam

Given that our master’s programme is very specialised, both in technical and artistic aspects, applicants go through a competitive application and entrance exam process. This is to assess their knowledge, motivation and creativity in the fields of Video Games and Digital Interactive Media.

You must apply to take part in the entrance exam by 20th January 2026 at 3pm (UTC+1). 

Please note that incomplete applications by this date will not be considered.

There are no application fees.

Regardless of your status, nationality, home institution or other factors, you must follow each step of the procedure, otherwise your application may be automatically rejected.

Your application and all required elements must be submitted on our dedicated platform.

For candidates with initial or continuing training status

After your Creative Dossier has been studied, if your application is shortlisted and you can move to the written tests, you must also enrol on the French government platform Mon Master.

Please note that any application submitted on the Mon Master platform before the candidate has undertaken the entrance exam tests will not be considered.

Application Dates & Deadlines

  • Entrance Exam Brief published on our website: Friday 12th December 2025 at 3pm (UTC+1) 

  • Deadline for applications for all tracks: Tuesday 20th January 2026 at 3pm (UTC+1) 

  • List of shortlisted candidates for written tests published on our website: Thursday 5th March 2026 at 4pm (UTC+1) 

  • For candidates with either an initial or continuing training status who are shortlisted for the written tests: enrol on the Mon Master platform from Tuesday 17th February to Monday 16th March 2026

  • Online written exams: Saturday 28th March 2026

  • List of shortlisted candidates for the oral interviews published on our website: Tuesday 5th May 2026 at 4pm (UTC+1) 

  • Oral interviews (distance and/or face-to-face depending on the track): from Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th May 2026

  • List of successful students admitted to the JMIN Master's degree published on our website: Wednesday 3rd June 2026 at 4pm (UTC+1)

International Applicants

We welcome applicants from all over the world. 

Please note that the 1st year of the JMIN Master's programme is taught in French, while the 3rd semester (2nd year) is taught in English. Access to the JMIN Master's programme is compulsory from the 1st year. It is not possible to apply directly for the 2nd year. 

Cnam-Enjmin has its own admission procedure. All French and international applicants must register for our competitive entrance exam. 

Entry requirements

  • Succesfully complete all stages of the JMIN Master's admission procedure detailed above: administrative file, creative dossier, written tests, oral interview (please refer to the important dates opposite).

  • Provide proof of a bachelor's degree or equivalent with a Statement of Comparability from the French ENIC-NARIC Centre if necesssary to confirm its equivalence in the French Higher Educational system (equal to or higher than Niveau 6/Bac+3). You hqve to pay for this service and it takes around 4 months to receive the statement.

  • Proof of French proficiency (B2 level) - must provide proof with your creative dossier

Note on the Études en France platform: since 2025, candidates for the JMIN Master's programme no longer need to follow the EEF procedure in parallel with the entrance exam in order to be considered eligible for admission. If you wish to enrol in the JMIN Master's degree programme, you must apply for the entrance exam via our dedicated website (link at the top of the page). If you are selected at the end of the selection process (June 2026), you will need to log onto the Études en France platform to complete your pre-consular file.
