Level of education required

Applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Candidates who have studied abroad must request a certificate of comparability at the ENIC-NARIC France Center. 

  • If you don't have a Bachelor's degree, you may apply for a Validation of Acquired Professional Skills (VAP) 
  • If your degree is not recognized by ENIC-NARIC you may apply for a Validation of Higher Education Studies (VES) 

Applying to the international master’s degree through our competitive entrance examination

Due to the specific nature of our training program, which is both technical and artistic, we have set up a competitive entrance examination to assess candidates' knowledge and motivation in the field of games and interactive media. 

Stage 1: Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, are shortlisted on the basis of a motivation letter, CV, selection of pieces of personal art works and Creative Dossier. Please note that all documents must be submitted in English. 

Stage 2: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an online written English test if no proof of the minimum English level required is provided at Stage 1.  

Stage 3: Shortlisted applicants will participate in a 30-minute online interview.  

Specifications and subject 2026

The entrance exam is organized in several stages, as mentioned above. It is held every year from January to April, for a September entry.  

For the September 2026 intake, the specifications of the first stage of the competitive examination will be published in January 2026.

Whatever your status, your home institution, your nationality, etc., you MUST follow each step of the below procedure.

STAGE 1: PRELIMINARY APPLICATION

PART 1: ADMINISTRATIVE FILE

Applicants with a diploma from outside the European Union

  • Proof of identity 
  • Health insurance certificate 
  • Current school certificate or a bachelor’s degree together with a certificate of comparability from ENIC-NARIC France 
  • Proof of minimum level required in English: IELTS score of 6.5 or above, TOEFL score of 80 or above, or TOEIC score of 785 or above. If the candidate does not have any proof, he/she will be required to take an online written English test. 

Applicants with an European Union diploma

  • Proof of identity 
  • Health insurance certificate 
  • Current school certificate or a bachelor’s degree together with certificate from the academic institution showing that 180 ECTS have been obtained  
  • Proof of minimum level required in English: IELTS score of 6.5 or above, TOEFL score of 80 or above, or TOEIC score of 785 or above. If the candidate does not have any proof, he/she will be required to take an online written English test. 

Applicants with a French diploma

  • Proof of identity 
  • Health insurance certificate 
  • Current school certificate or a bachelor’s degree 
  • Proof of minimum level required in English: IELTS score of 6.5 or above, TOEFL score of 80 or above, or TOEIC score of 785 or above. If the candidate does not have any proof, he/she will be required to take an online written English test. 

PART 2: SPECIALIZATION-SPECIFIC APPLICATION

For all candidates

  • Curriculum vitae (a link to the student’s portfolio is strongly recommended) 
  • Motivation letter 
  • Selection of pieces of personal art works  
  • Creative Dossier 

Instructions for applicants 

The aim of this Creative Dossier is to show an interest and a capacity for reflection, innovation and creativity on the issue of interactive media in relation to the course requested, all in relation to the subject proposed. 

There are no constraints related to the nature of the proposal: video game (adventure, role-playing game, strategy, classic puzzle game or any other original form to be specified), transmedia work, alternate reality game, digital toy, interactive installation... or the nature of the envisaged platform (board game, game on PC, consoles, cell phone or any mixed form). 

The dossier sent can be in landscape or portrait format, typed, font size 12, 1.5 line spacing and standard 2.5 cm margins. The Creative Dossier (common part and specific part of the course) must not exceed a maximum of 15 pages (excluding cover page and table of contents).

STAGE 2: ENGLISH TEST

If your application is approved by the jury, 2 options are available, depending on your situation: 

  • You have provided a proof of your English level in your administrative file (IELTS score of 6.5 or above, TOEFL iBT score of 80 or above, or TOEIC score of 785 or above) → you will proceed directly to step 3. 

  • You have not previously provided a proof of your English level → you will be required to take an online written English test corresponding to TOEIC level B2. 

Two different English tests will be offered to overcome the time difference.

STAGE 3: ONLINE INTERVIEW

If you pass Stage 2, you will have to participate in a 30-minute online interview.
