Apply to the Master's degree in Video Games & Interactive Media (JMIN)
If you have a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent OR if you are a professional with more than 3 years in the video game industry, you are welcome to apply to our Master's degree program.
Schedule and procedure
Due to the specific nature of our training program, which is both technical and artistic, we have set up an internal competitive recruitment procedure to assess candidates' knowledge and motivation in the field of games and interactive media.
Registration for the competition must be completed by January 16, 2025 at 3pm (UTC+1).
Applications incomplete by this date will not be considered.

The Cnam-Enjmin / NAD-UQAC School (Canada) Passerelle
If you are applying for the Game Design track in the Master's degree and would like to spend your 1st year in Montreal, find out more about the Cnam-Enjmin / NAD-UQAC School (Canada) Passerelle and submit an application in parallel with the Master's degree competition (deadline coming soon).

Applying to the Master's degree
Level of education required and supporting documents to be provided
Required level of studies: a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (applicants who have studied abroad must present a comparability statement from the ENIC-NARIC France Center)
- If you don't have a Bachelor's degree you may apply for a Validation of Acquired Professional Skills (VAP)
- If your degree is not recognized by ENIC-NARIC you may apply for a Validation of Higher Education Studies (VES)

"Creative Application File"
The aim of this creative application is to show an interest in and an aptitude for thinking, innovation and creation based around interactive media issues as they relate to the track being applied for, all in connection with the proposed subject.
There are no restrictions on the nature of the proposal: video game, cross-media work, Alternate Reality game, digital toy, interactive installation... or the nature of the platform envisaged (board game, game on PC, console, mobile phone or any mixed form).

Online Application only. As soon as all documents submitted have been reviewed you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt to confirm the registration of your application. In case we need more information you will be contacted by e-mail shortly.
Your "Creative Application File" will be examined by a panel of Cnam teachers.
"Administrative Application File"

If your "Creative File" application is successful
The list of successful candidates for the written exams will be published online on: Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 3pm (UTC+1). Written tests will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
The written tests consist of:
- The analysis of a linear or interactive audiovisual work
- An English test
- A Technical test according to the chosen track
If you pass the written tests
The list of candidates admitted to the oral examinations will be published online on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 3pm (UTC+1).
Applicants will be invited for an oral interview (15 to 30 minutes) between May 21 to 23, 2025.
If you pass the oral examination
The list of candidates admitted to the master's degree program will be published online on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 3pm (UTC+1).
Successful candidates will receive an e-mail confirmation afterwards as well as a registration form from mid-June 2025 onwards.

International Applicants
We welcome applicants from all over the world.
Please note that the first year of the Master's program is taught in French, while the 2nd year is taught in English. Access to the Master's program is compulsory from the1st year. It is not possible to apply directly for the second year.
The Cnam-Enjmin has its own admission procedure. All national and international applicants must register to our competitive entrance exam.

Succesfully complete all stages of the JMIN Master's admission procedure: administrative file, creative file, written tests, oral examination (please refer to the calendar opposite)

Provide an undergraduate degree with a comparability statement from the ENIC-NARIC France Center confirming that you hold at least a Bachelor's degree (fee-paying service, processing time is around four months

Proof of French proficiency (B2 level)
Note on the Études en France platform: from this year onwards, candidates for the JMIN master's program no longer need to follow the EEF procedure in parallel with the entrance exam in order to be considered eligible for admission. If you wish to enter the Master's program, you must apply for the competitive entrance exam via our website. If you are selected at the end of the selection process (June 2025), you will need to connect with the Études en France platform to complete your pre-consular file.
