Cnam-Enjmin welcomes the new creation space!
January 30, 2025February 2, 2025
Every year, the Cnam-Enjmin, partner of the Angoulême International Comics Festival, hosts the “New Creation” space.
Renamed for the 51st edition of the Festival, the New Creation Space is the place to be for young authors, publishers and art and design professionals. Access is free for the entire duration of the event.
True to its vocation as a showcase for research and experimentation by newcomers to French, European and international comics, it will host the group exhibition Hyper BD: an exhibition in which you are the heroes. Opening up the frontiers of creation to festival-goers, it will explore all the paths taken by young artists on the road to publishing. Playful and instructive, the journey will take the form of a quest guided by the works and diverse universes of four authors: Émilie Plateau, who signs the general narrative of the exhibition, Adrian Tomine, Salomé Lahoche and Bingo. The space is also designed to encourage valuable exchanges between representatives of young artists and the professional image world.
THE SCHOOLS
As they do every year, the specialized schools offer a retrospective of student work and numerous workshops, and provide guidance to those interested in pursuing their careers.
PUBLISHERS' MEETINGS
Available by online registration from the Festival website in December, these are a unique opportunity to meet publishers, present their books and benefit from their advice.
CONFERENCES & WORKSHOPS
The Festival organizes a series of conferences open to all, as well as thematic workshops in collaboration with the schools of the Angoulême - Magelis Image Campus. The New Creation space will also offer a reading corner where you can consult the works and publications of our young talents. In partnership with adaBD- Association des Auteurs de Bande Dessinée, a special program of meetings will be offered to festival-goers.
