LISA, the High School for the Moving Image and Sound in Angoulême (Lycée de l’Image et du Son d’Angoulême), in partnership with Cnam-Enjmin, ÉMCA (The School of Animation Film Professions), GrandAngoulême's Art School and Emile Cohl Workshop & School, is organising the 6th edition of the Courts d’Écoles Festival, a condensed version of the films shown at Poitiers Film Festival.

A demanding and collaborative selection

What makes this event particular is the selection process: the line-up is selected, just like for every edition, by a committee made up of approximately 15 students from 5 partner schools. It's the critical eye of these future talents that is our festival's strength!

This selection committee participated in the Poitiers Film Festival on 29th and 30th November and chose the films that will be shown on 19th and 20th January in the LISA lecture theatre during two screening and debate evenings.

This unique festival offers a run-down of the best films created by cinema schools from around the world, shot last year.

This event boasts support from Angoulême's Creative Industries Hub, Magelis, as well as the Auditorium Theatre of Poitiers (TAP).

On the programme

This evening will allow the audience to watch in professional quality approx. 1 and a half hours of films.

  • 6 animations, 5 fictions, 2 documentaries
  • 10 countries represented: Slovenia, Morocco, Estonia, Mexico, Germany, Finland, the United States, the Czech Republic, and France (2 films from The Poudrière School and one film by ENSAD, French National School of Decorative Arts)

Screenings will be interspersed by a presentation from the students, an interval, discussions and a light buffet.
